Effective date: October 22, 2026

This policy explains how Formula D1 collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit formulad1.com, use app.formulad1.com, or otherwise use our recruiting platform and services.

Formula D1 provides tools for student-athletes to discover college athletic programs, organize recruiting opportunities, and communicate with college coaches.

1. Information we collect

Account and sign-in information

We collect your account email address, authentication identifiers, and information needed to maintain your account. If you create a password, we store a protected password hash, not your original password. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your verified Google account identifier and email address.

Athlete profile and platform activity

Information you choose to provide may include your name, high school, graduation year, city and state, sports, positions, measurements, statistics, recruiting preferences, preferred divisions and regions, film or athletic-profile links, selected schools, and recruiting activity. We also store message drafts, saved recruiting selections, and related account preferences.

Coach and school information

Formula D1 organizes information about athletic programs and coaches, which may include names, positions, professional contact details, and recruiting-related communication activity. This information may originate from public sources, data providers, or information you add or use.

Payments

Stripe processes subscription payments. We receive information needed to manage your subscription, such as a Stripe customer or subscription identifier, billing status, payment confirmation, and billing-period dates. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number through the Formula D1 app.

Technical and usage information

We process session and security information needed to operate the service. When an email tracking feature is used, we also receive the event information described in Email tracking.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and maintain accounts; authenticate you; provide athlete profiles, school discovery, recommendations, and recruiting tools; save your preferences and drafts; connect an authorized Gmail account and send messages you approve; provide recruiting engagement information; administer billing and support; protect the service; and comply with legal obligations.

3. How information is shared

  • Service providers: We use providers that help operate the platform, including hosting and infrastructure, Google sign-in and Gmail delivery, Stripe payment processing, and email delivery or support services.
  • Recipients you choose: When you send a recruiting email, the information in that message is sent to the coach or other recipient you select through your connected email account.
  • Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a lawful business transfer.

We do not sell users’ personal information. We do not sell Google user data or provide it to data brokers or advertising networks.

4. Google Sign-In and Gmail

Google Sign-In and connecting Gmail are separate features. Google Sign-In provides the identity information needed to sign in. If you separately connect Gmail, the app requests the email address and permission to send email from your account. The Gmail connection does not request permission to read your inbox.

Gmail access is optional except when needed for a Gmail-dependent feature you choose to use. You can revoke Formula D1’s access in your Google Account settings; doing so will stop Gmail-dependent features. Gmail tokens are encrypted for storage and used to facilitate messages you direct the app to send.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5. Email open and link tracking

When you send recruiting emails through Formula D1, those emails may include a small tracking image and tracked links. If the image loads or a tracked link is opened, we may record the associated message, event type, and timestamp, along with the recipient’s email-client user-agent and a keyed hash of the connection IP address. Tracked links first pass through Formula D1 and then redirect to their destination.

Open tracking is approximate: email providers may block, proxy, or automatically load images and links. These email tracking features are separate from browser cookies. If applicable law requires additional consent or opt-out choices, those requirements still apply.

6. Cookies and browser storage

Formula D1 uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in and help protect your account. Depending on your sign-in choice, the session may last until you close your browser or remain for up to 30 days. The app also uses browser storage for selected schools, drafts, and preferences so those choices can persist between visits.

We do not use advertising cookies in the app code reviewed for this policy. This policy will be updated if additional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced.

7. Security and data retention

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. For example, account passwords are stored as protected hashes, Gmail refresh tokens are encrypted for storage, and account access is authenticated. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We do not currently publish a fixed deletion schedule for every data category. Sent-message records and related engagement events may be retained with recruiting history.

Information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable legal protections.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

  • You can update many of the profile details you provide in the app.
  • You can disconnect your authorized Gmail account in your account settings or revoke access through Google.
  • The app does not currently provide self-service account deletion. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information, email jack@acquisitionenterprises.net. We will review requests under applicable law and any legal or legitimate retention requirements.

Where applicable privacy laws provide additional rights, Formula D1 will honor those rights as required by law.

9. Children and minors

Formula D1 is intended for individuals who are at least 13 years old and is not directed to children under 13. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian where required. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required parental consent.

The app does not currently verify a user’s age or collect a parent or guardian’s consent through a dedicated workflow. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information without required consent, contact jack@acquisitionenterprises.net.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and update its effective date, and provide additional notice where required.

For privacy questions or requests, contact Formula D1 at jack@acquisitionenterprises.net.
